The Ministry of Environment and ecology commission of the Parliament of Georgia protests against the transportation of inert materials from Abkhazia to Russia.
The special statement on this issue says that the inert materials from Abkhazia are actively used in the construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi.
"Significant damages have been inflicted to the Abkhaz coast and restoration of coastal areas will require several years and huge monies. Currently 120 million cubic meters of materials have already been exported. It should be noted that not only international, but also Russian environmental NGOs protest against the Russian government," says the statement.
