Nine people died and two others were injured in a road accident early Friday near Belo Horizonte, capital of Brazil's Minas Gerais state, police said.
At the time, a cargo truck transporting wires flipped over in the 425 km segment of the highway BR-381, also known as the "highway of the death." It hit a black car and a SUV which were in the other line, each one with five people aboard, Xinhua reported.
All five occupants of the car were killed at the scene, so did three others of the SUV. The truck driver died short after being hospitalized.
The other two passengers of the SUV were injured, with one of them in grave situation.
