An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Nepal-India border region at 11:31 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter, with a depth of 12.50 km, was initially determined to be at 29.7 degrees north latitude and 80.8 degrees east longitude.
