2018 Olympics host decided in first round of voting

The host for the 2018 Winter Olympics has been decided in the first round of voting by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Wednesday, dpa reported.

IOC president Jacques Rogge announced that one of the three candidates, Pyeongchang, Munich and Annecy had obtained a clear majority of the 95 IOC members who cast a vote.

The winner was to be announced by Rogge later Wednesday.
