One killed, 25 injured by blasts at military plant in Serbia (UPDATE)

00:34 (GMT+4) One person was killed, 25 more injured and three went missing as a result of a fire and explosions at a military plant in the central Serbian city of Kragujevac, the country’s defense ministry said in a statement on Tuesday, Sputnik reported.

“According to the recent information, one person was killed, three are still being searched and 25 soldiers of the Serbian Army as well as Interior Ministry's employees were injured by the blast that occurred during fighting with the fire at the repair and engineering plant in Kragujevac,” the statement said.

22:02 (GMT+4) At least 20 people were injured in twin explosions of ammunition at a defense factory in the city of Kragujevac in central Serbia on Tuesday, Sputnik reported.

"The ammunition exploded following a fire that swept through one of the plant's production buildings. The fire started at the Bloc A28, where the ammunition disposal facility is located," Radio Television of Serbia said.

According to the outlet, at least 20 people received injuries of various degree of severity.
