The border of Turkey’s Kilis province with Syria’s Afrin district has been completely cleared of terrorists, Turkish media reported Feb. 20 citing military sources.

A total of 82 settlements were cleared of the terrorists during the Operation Olive Branch, according to the report.

“A total of 32 Turkish soldiers were killed over the entire period of operation,” the report said.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
