Turkmenistan reduces imports of chemical products from Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26

Exports of chemical products from Turkey to Turkmenistan decreased by 0.82 percent in January through February 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, amounting to $17.8 million, Turkey's Trade Ministry told Trend.

Exports of chemical products from Turkey to Turkmenistan decreased by 12.72 percent in February 2020, compared to February 2019, amounting to over $10 million.

Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets increased by one percent in January through February 2020, compared to the same period of last year, amounting to $3.2 billion.

Turkey's chemical exports account for 10.9 percent of the country's total exports in January-February this year.

Turkey exported $1.5 billion worth of chemical products to world markets in February 2020, which is 7.8 percent less than in the same month of 2019.

Turkey's chemical exports in February 2020 accounted for 10.3 percent of the country's total exports.

Over the past 12 months (February 2019-February 2020), Turkey exported chemical products worth $20.620 billion.
