BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Turkey decreased steel exports to Turkmenistan by 89.2 percent (to $91,000) in March 2022 compared to the same month in 2021, Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, Turkey exported steel to Turkmenistan in the amount of $14.6 million in 1Q2022, which is 21.3 percent more than in the same period in 2021.
Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of steel to world markets in March 2022, up 48.9 percent from the same month in 2021, the ministry said.
"Turkey totally exported steel to world markets in the amount of $5.7 billion from January through March 2022, which is 51 percent more than in the same period in 2021," the ministry noted.
Turkey has exported a total of $24.2 billion worth of steel during the past 12 months (from March 2021 through March 2022).
Turkey exported $22.3 billion worth of steel to world markets in 2021.
