Baku, Azerbaijan, June 10
By Maksim Tsurkov - Trend:
Azerbaijani athletes are intensively preparing for the upcoming European Games, Siana Vasileva, a member of Azerbaijan's national rhythmic gymnastics squad, told Trend June 10.
"We understand all the responsibility, we are preparing intensively and we are working," she said. "This is a sport, and one can't specifically expect a place, but we will try to have the best result and not let the country down."
"We have slightly changed the program with ribbons, as it needed to be improved, but overall it is a program that we have been working on for a long time," Vasileva added.
She is also calling on the fans to cheer loudly for the Azerbaijani gymnasts.
"Your support is very much needed and it is very helpful to us," said the gymnast.
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
