The imports of petroleum products to Georgia in February 2014 increased by 29,100 tons to 68,200 tons compared to January 2014.
Some 30,200 tons of petrol, and38, 000 tons of diesel fuel were imported to the country in February, the Georgian Union of Petroleum Product Importers told Trend on March 13.
Georgia has imported 107,400 tons of oil products, including petrol imports - 51,400 tons and diesel fuel - 56,000 tons since early 2014, the union said.
The country imported the largest volume of petrol and diesel fuel from Romania in 2014 - 42,600 tons, or 39.7 percent of the total import volume.
The import of oil products from Azerbaijan for the period amounted to 23,700 tons or 22 percent of a total import volume, Bulgaria - 19,500 tons ( 18.2 percent ), Greece - 8,100 tons ( 7.5 percent ) , Russia - 8,070 tons (only diesel fuel, 7.5 percent of a total import volume) and Turkey - 5,400 tons (only diesel fuel, five percent of a total import volume).
