Azerbaijan, Baku, March 7 / Trend , A.Huseynbala/
The Azerbaijani Neftchi football club's head coached was dismissed, as he could not fulfill his duties.
"Hans Jurgen Gede did not justify himself as head coach. Therefore, the club's president decided to dismiss Gede," Neftchi club Vice President Ilgar Guluzade told Trend on March 7.
Hans Jurgen Gede was appointed the Neftchi club's head coach after specialist Anatoliy Demyanenko's resigning during the fourth round of the current championship. Earlier Gede was assistant head coach of the Azerbaijani National football squad.
After his appointing as the head coach, some footballers were dismissed from the club and new footballers replaced them. However, it did not enable the Neftchi to succeed in the championship. At present Neftchi ranks 10th in the championship.
Thhe club is only contesting for the Azerbaijani Cup at the moment. Garabag team will be Neftchi's rival in a quarter final. Garabag won with 1:0 score in the first match.
Guluzade said a head coach problem will be solved next week.
"Neftchi will meet with Simurg club in Zagatala on March 7," Guluzade said. "At present we only think of the match. Acting Head Coach Boyukaga Agayev will lead the club in this match."
