Taliban insurgents attack traffic department in Kabul

Taliban insurgents targeted a government office early Monday, engaging in a shootout with security forces in the Afghan capital, dpa reported.

"The gunfight is ongoing. At least two suicide bombers have entered the traffic department building," a traffic officer said condition of anonymity.

The Taliban took the responsibility for the attack.

At least one insurgent detonated his vest as they entered the building, local media reported.
