At least three people including a NATO soldier were killed and three others injured Tuesday in two separate attacks in eastern Afghanistan, officials said, dpa reported.
"An explosives-rigged bicycle was remotely detonated, killing a police officer and an officer of the National Directorate of Security (intelligence agency) in a suburb of Jalalabad city," capital of Nangahar, the province's police spokesman Hazrat Hussain said.
The victims were on a motorbike going to work, he said.
"The intelligence officer was probably the target," he said, adding that three civilian bystanders were wounded.
Also Tuesday, a soldier with the NATO-led coalition was killed in "a direct fire attack in eastern Afghanistan," the military said, without elaborating on his nationality or the location.
