US President Barack Obama is weighing sending weapons to the Syrian opposition, the Washington Post reported Tuesday, quoting unidentified senior administration officials, dpa reported.
The officials said Obama was also pushing harder for Russian President Vladimir Putin to drop his support of the Syrian regime.
Obama was to make a final decision on whether to send arms to Syrian rebels before meeting with Putin in June on the sidelines of the G-8 meeting, the Post reported.
