According to the NetIndex rating of Ookla company, the average speed of incoming traffic in Azerbaijan amounts to 3.56 Mbit / s, the company's statement said.
This figure reached 3.67 Mbit / s in Baku and 2.64 Mbit / s in Sumgayit.
The results were obtained on the basis of experimental studies conducted by the company between November 21- December 20. Some 311,366 unique IP-addresses were selected for the studies.
Azerbaijan holds 120th place in the rating of incoming traffic. The results of statistical indicators of 20 internet service providers and operators in Azerbaijan were listed in the rating. The maximum speed of traffic in the network hit 15.34 Mbit / s (Azertelecom network), while the minimum speed was 2 Mbit / s ( TransEuroCom).
Azerbaijan holds 121st place in the rating of outgoing traffic with access to the network at a speed of 1.37 Mbit / s. In Baku, the figure reached 1.42 Mbit / s, while in Sumgait it was 0.61 Mbit / s.
The rating of the outgoing traffic also listed 20 Internet service providers and operators in Azerbaijan, The maximum speed of outgoing traffic was registered at 12.86 Mbit / s (Azertelecom network), while the minimum speed was 0.44 Mbit / s (Azerbaijan Data Network).
