Person with Azerbaijani Passport Detained at Georgian-Turkish Border

Georgia, Tbilisi, 29 February / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia/ A person with the Azerbaijani passport was detained at the Sarpi check point at the Georgian-Turkish border, while attempting to illegally pass abroad, the Georgian Border Police reported.

He held the seaman's certificate, basically given to Georgian citizen, due to which he was detained. The person, whose name is kept in secret, was trying to pass to Turkey and then to a European country.

The seaman's certificate turned out to be a fake one and a criminal case has been filed against him.
