Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 18 / Trend , I.Alizade/ The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Commissions on Legal Policy and State Establishment Affairs, as well as Human Rights adopted a draft on Referendum action on changes and supplements to constitution and submitted to the parliament for discussions.
Ali Huseynov, a member of the Work Group developing this draft and chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on Legal Policy and State Establishment Affairs, said that members of the work group discussed proposals at a meeting.
Most of them have been taken into consideration, Huseynov said. Regarding MP's proposals, an item of the draft on 50,000 citizens' initiative has changed and this limit has been cut to 40,000.
When the Constitutional Court makes a decision, the Azerbaijani Parliament will fix a date of referendum, Latif Huseynov, the director of Legislation Department of the Parliamentary Administration, said.
The Parliament will discuss the draft on Dec. 19.
Proposals on changes and supplements include removal of an article banning one person to be elected president more than twice from the Constitution, as well.
