The radical opposition does not intend to wait for 2012 and will take measures to overthrow the government of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili this year, Democratic Movement - United Georgia leader, former Parliament Speaker Nino Burjanadze told the Asaval-Dasavali weekly today.

Burjanadze underscored that the People's Assembly convened in 2010 to address necessary changes to the government and the formation of disobedience committees.

"We have already established such committees in some regions and completed their formation in Tbilisi. We will present these committees in Tbilisi on Jan. 20," Burjanadze added.

She stressed that these committees will prepare the population to resist the Saakashvili regime and achieve his departure.

"Of course, people should do this, and we need to prepare, because the existence of this government is an insult to the Georgian people," Burjanadze said.

She expressed confidence that "the more people favor the protection of honor, the faster this shameful government will leave."
