Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov is arriving on an official visit to Uzbekistan today, the Turkmen government reported.
"President Berdimuhammedov's visit paid upon the Uzbek side's invitation is to give new incentives to foster fruitful operation between our states and nations bound with the ties of sincere friendship and good neighborliness, centuries-old common cultural and spiritual traditions," the report reads.
The Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue that based on the goodwill of the sides moves forward successfully nowadays can be rightfully called a model of constructive and mutually beneficial relations built in compliance with national priorities, mutual interests and global development goals.
The agenda of the upcoming top-level talks in Tashkent will cover on a wide range of the aspects of Turkmen-Uzbek partnership in the bilateral format and within the authoritative international organizations and structures
The program of the official visit also includes a visit to Bukhara and historical and cultural monuments of this ancient city.
The previous high-level talks held in Ashgabat during Uzbek Leader Islam Karimov's visit to Turkmenistan in October 2010.
