Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences organizes folklore expeditions to Karabakh

The Folklore Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) is organizing an expedition to Karabakh.
The institute staff will be sent to Karabakh to collect samples of folklore, Director of the Institute of Folklore Mukhtar Imanov told media today.
"We have already begun to carry out this work," he said. "Several our employees have been sent to Tartar for collecting samples of folklore.
They returned with interesting materials. The operations will be conducted in other regions of Karabakh. Three anthologies of Karabakh's folklore will be published on the basis of the material collected as a result of the expeditions."
He said that a big conference on Karabakh's folklore and ethnography is expected to be held on the basis of these materials this year.
Karabakh's music folklore will be examined, Imanov said.
"We plan to release a special album with Karabakh's music," he said.
"The operations are underway to collect the samples of Karabakh's folklore, their classification, publications and research."
