Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec. 30 / Trend D. Mukhtar /
At a meeting with Kazakhstan's leading TV channels in Akorda Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev told about his dream to build a city under a doom within preparation for Expo - 2017.
"My dream is to build a city under a doom. Maybe within Expo we get to implement this project. In an Indoor city people can live in comfort in summer and winter. Imagine a circle with a diameter of 200 meters. This circle will contain everything: schools, hospitals, theaters, shops, hair salons, homes, restaurants and cafes. There will be no cars and traffic will only be possible through the channels. Children will be able to go to school not wearing a coat in 30-degree cold weather. Other circles will expand from this circle, and eventually, it would get possible for the city to fit 10-15 thousand people. "Khan Shatyr" by the way, is an approach to the idea, its first step," the president said.
According to him, EXPO 2017 pavilions will be structured in a way to be used for the public after the exhibition.
"Perhaps this will be the pavilion with multi-storey residential buildings instead of walls .The exhibition will be held under the dome and then as it is over, there will be housing left," Nazarbayev said.
