Baku, Azerbaijan, May 25
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia, Elmar Mammadyarov and Sergei Lavrov, during the talks in Moscow, noted an active dialogue at the highest level between the two countries, which allows solving "every single issue" of bilateral cooperation, Tass reported May 25.
"We are glad to welcome you in Moscow. I'd like to express my condolences in connection with the fire in Baku, which claimed human lives," Lavrov said opening the meeting.
"We appreciate the opportunity to hold talks as part of your official visit," he added. "We have goals clearly defined by our leaders. The presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan meet regularly, and they have a constructive dialogue that allows creating conditions for the settlement of all the issues, without exception."
Mammadyarov, for his part, said that during the talks he intends to discuss all the aspects of bilateral cooperation.
"I hope we will be able to move forward in carrying out the instructions of our leaders," said the Azerbaijani minister. "The aims set by our leaders, show a high level of relations between our countries."
Minister Mammadyarov recalled that, as it is expected, the Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the opening ceremony of the European Games in Baku on June 12.
"During the visit it is planned to discuss the concrete issues of the topical agenda," he added.
"Our relations stand at the highest level and are developing fruitfully, the trade is growing, and the cooperation within international organizations is underway," Mammadyarov further said.
