BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Hamad bin Abdullah bin Saud bin Khudair on the occasion of ending his diplomatic activity on August 17, Trend reports, referring to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Minister expressed deep gratitude to the ambassador for his contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia and wished him success in his future activities.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the current state and future of bilateral cooperation between the countries in the political, economic, energy, humanitarian, and tourism spheres. The parties stressed the ideal state of political relations between the two nations and the satisfaction that comes from the advancement of economic and commercial cooperation. Both at this time and in the past, Saudi Arabia's help for Azerbaijan was much valued. Speaking about mutual official visits, the Foreign Minister noted with satisfaction the meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister, including contacts with his colleague in the framework of international events.
Ambassador Hamad bin Abdullah bin Saud bin Khudair noted the development of relations between the two countries and the work done recently and expressed gratitude in connection with the relations of friendship and cooperation for the period of his activity in Azerbaijan.
