The lawsuit of the oppositional functionaries against the deputy head of the Baku City Chief Police Department (BCPD) Yashar Aliyev will be examined on 12 October 2005 in Nasimi district court, the court told Trend .
The case is treated by the chairman of the Nasimi court Aladdin Djafarov.
The functionaries from the opposition Arif Hadjily, Rauf Arifogli and Gabil Huseynli put in a writ against Yashar Aliyev on the rally of 1 October 2005. The writ specifies, the deputy police head stated, during the action the oppositionists had, allegedly, iron bars wrapped in the newspaper, thus, slandering them. In this regard, they demand from the court to open the criminal case against him according to the Articles 147.1 and 147.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
