The President of Azerigaz JSC, Alikhan Melikov briefed the media that the Cabinet of Minister of Azerbaijan has considered the fuel and energy balance for 2007.

According to him, according to the existing information, the balance for January-March has already been drawn up, and problems with the gas supply are not expected. In addition, Azerigaz is categorical in decision to stop the gas supply to the consumers who do not pay for the delivered fuel. In 2007 the revenues are expected to be increased by 100%, but yet we could not reach this indicator. The growth dynamic in the incomes is observed. The question has seriously presented that if consumers do not pay for the gas, their gas supply will be shut down, said Melikov.

He said that in 2006, 1,026 bln cu.m of gas has been pumped into the Galamass and Garadagh gas reservoir. In addition, 200 mln cu.m of gas have remained from the last year. Presently the reserves of Azerigaz contain 1,120 -1,130 bln cu.m of gas, and it will be produced for the population in January-March. It will provide an opportunity to fully resolve the questions with the gas supply.
