Aydin Mirzazadeh, a Member of the Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) and Member of the Azerbaijan delegation to PACE, has exclusively informed Trend that Lord Russell Johnston, a Member of the British Parliament and the Chairman of the PACE Subcommittee for the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue, is expected to visit the region at the end of the spring вЂ" the beginning of the summer.
Yesterday, on January 25, it was for the first time when the Azerbaijan and Armenian delegations to PACE met with each other. The meeting was held within the sitting of the PACE Subcommittee for the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict, which was founded to fulfill PACE Resolution 1416. According to Mr. Mirzazadeh, during the meeting, Lord Russell Johnston said that he intends to pay a visit to the region at the end of the spring- the beginning of the summer. He even joked that he would not have an opportunity to see snow during paying his forthcoming visit to the region, because a wonderful panorama was opened up before ones eyes there. The both countries' delegation noted that they expected the visit of Lord Russell Johnston. We all are interested in this visit, said Mr. Mirzazadeh, adding that the agenda of the forthcoming visit would be made more precise in the near time.
