The Chairman of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament], Oktay Asadov, said on February 16, 2007 that a hearing will take place in the Parliament on February 26 dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Khojali genocide. He said that on February 27 the Parliament will pass a statement regarding the 15th anniversary of Khojali genocide. The statement will be sent to international organizations and parliaments of various countries.
A commission has been created to prepare the text of the statement. The commission includes Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Bahar Muradova, Deputies of the Parliament, Elman Mammadov, Havva Mammadova, Azay Guliyev, Iltizam Akberli and Agil Abbas.
