Azerbaijan, Baku, 19 February / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The 16th anniversary of the Khojali tragedy will be commemorated in more than 60 countries, the Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Reside Abroad reported.
Representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas will stage a meeting at Place Broglie in Strasburg, France on 23 February. A monument devoted to the memory of the Khojali tragedy will be unveiled in the Hague, Holland on 24 February. On 26 February, the memory of Khojali victims will be remembered in Mainz, Germany. A commemoration ceremony dedicated to the memory of the Khojali victims will be held in the Caspian-Khazar school in London on 25 February and the Youth club of Azerbaijan in London on 26 February.
On 24 February, Diaspora representatives will stage protest rallies in Stockholm's Sergelstock Square and in front of the Swiss Parliament.
A gathering dedicated to the Khojali tragedy will be staged in the Khoteborg, Sweden on 25 and 26 February. On 25 February, the workshop 'Blood 26 February' will be held in the cultural centre 'Khoteborq Kulturhuset', and а conference will be held in the Apple conference hall on 26 February.
The Azerbaijani Diasporas in Dania, Moldova and Baltic countries will also hold events dedicated to the tragedy. A ceremony will be held in Czechia on 28 February and in Montreal and Toronto states of America on 26 February.
The events dedicated to the Khojali tragedy will be staged in front of Armenian Embassy in Washington on 22 February, New York on 23 February and a workshop will be held in the Turkish Centre.
On 23 February, different events will be held in the Turkish city Izmir, 25 February in Ankara and in Manis on 26 February. The tragedy will also be commemorated in Russia and Middle Asia countries.
