The Ganja Football Club has earned the right to participate in the Azerbaijani championship this year and is anxiously awaiting the tournament, President Elmir Aliyev told journalists today.
"Ganja football has its own history and traditions. We are actively working to restore Ganja's former glory," Aliyev said.
The team has started training for the tournament, and has already invited new players to the club, Aliyev said.
"Teaching and training sessions are held in Ganja. If the head coach considers it necessary, then the team will practice abroad," he said.
Aliyev also denied rumors that the club will be renamed "Kapaz."
