The fifth phase of the international cycling race "Tour d` Azerbaidjan", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, kicked off in Azerbaijan on Sunday.
The fifth stage starts in Baku on Azadlig Square. The participants will pass through the main streets and avenues of the capital and will complete the stage after 12 laps.
The total length of the route is 144 kilometers.
An interesting and extraordinary cycle show was held prior to the start of the fifth phase.
The "Tour d'Azerbaidjan" is a 2.2 event on the UCI Europe Tour.
The international cycling race is widely covered on Eurosport, Eurosport-2 and other TV channels. Employees of about 40 television channels have been sent to Azerbaijan to cover the event.
