Today, on September 28, during the hearing on the criminal case of Haji Mammadov and his gang consisting of 25 members, a member of his gang Eldar Rahimov has been examined, Trend reports. The court on the criminal case of former Senior Officer of the Central Criminal Investigation Department of Azerbaijan`s Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and his gang presided by Judge Ali Seyfaliyev.
In his testifying, Mr, Rahimov pointed out that he joined Haji Mammadov`s gang in 1995, that took part in the kidnapping and murdering of Director of the State Coincern Azermebelsanaye Nazim pashayev and his driver Namig Abbasov. After kidnapping Ulvi Baghirov in 1997, he kept away from the gang. However, in 2001, because of the financial troubles followed his father death, he returned to the gang. Being a member of the gang, I took part in the kidnapping of Elshan Hassanov, Ilham Gadimzadeh, Majid Mammadov, Anar Sultanov, as well as the murders committed by the gang after 2001, including the murders of Fatulla Husseynov and Rovshan Aliyev. However, recently I wanted to leave the gang, but because of my being afraid of Haji, I had no courage to do it, as Haji easily cleared unnecessary people away. Because of the fear for the lives of my close relatives and mine, I had to continue my presence in the gang, he pointed out.
