Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbliyeva / The prisoners in Gobustan Prison ceased the hunger strike on 20 April in the second half of the day, said the Chief of the Prison, Alizade Huseynov. He said that the prisoners themselves decided to cease the action.
Huseynov said that there are no problems with the health of the prisoners who had announced hunger strike. According to him, the action announced on 16 April was attended by 26 prisoners. Of them, six had ceased the action on 19 April.
The participants of the hunger strike demanded that their punishment of life-imprisonment should be replaced with 15-year prison.
