The turnover of the catering sector in Baku increased by 8 percent in real terms from January through July 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, and amounted to 286.6 million manat ($168.5 million), Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the first 7 months of this year, the turnover of legal entities in this area rose 40.2 percent in annual circulation and reached 227.8 million manat ($134 million).
In 2020, the turnover of the catering sector in Baku decreased by 59.4 percent in real terms compared to 2019 and stood at 476.2 million manat ($280.1 million). At the same time, 55.5 percent of the turnover in the public catering sector in the private sector accounted for legal entities, 44.5 percent - for individual entrepreneurs.
The turnover of legal entities last year decreased by 45 percent compared to the year before last and amounted to 266.9 million manat ($157 million).
