Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 4.9 percent from 58.5 billion manat ($34.4 billion) to 71.6 billion manat ($42.1 billion) from January through October 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee on Nov. 15.
At the same time, GDP per capita increased by 1,287 manat ($757) - from 5,861 manat ($3,447) to 7,148 manat ($4,204).
Added value in the oil sector increased by 2.6 percent, while in the non-oil sector - by 5.9 percent.
The share of industry in the structure of GDP reached 40.8 percent, which is by 6.6 percent more than in the same period of last year.
Some 10.3 percent accounted for trade and repair of vehicles ( decrease of 1.2 percent), 7.1 percent - for transport and warehousing (decrease of 0.3 percent), 6.7 percent - for agriculture, forestry, and fish farming (an increase of 0.3 percent), 5 percent for construction (decrease of 1.4 percent) and 1.8 percent for information and communications (decrease of 0.2 percent).
The remaining 18.2 percent accounted for the share of other sectors of the economy (a decrease of 1.7 percent for the year).
Net tax revenues from the import of products amounted to 8.9 percent of GDP from January through October 2021, decreasing by one percent compared to the period from January through October 2020.
