The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine amounted to $774.6 million, increasing by 43.4 percent from January through October 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy told Trend.
The trade balance was negative and amounted to $158.1 million from January through October 2021.
According to the ministry, Ukraine’s export of goods to Azerbaijan amounted to $308.3 million (an increase of 6.5 percent) while import from Azerbaijan - $466.3 million (an increase of 86 percent) from January through October 2021.
The trade balance between the two countries was positive reaching $38.7 million in the same period of 2020.
Some $289.4 million accounted for the share of Ukraine’s export of goods to Azerbaijan, while import - $250.7 million. The bilateral trade turnover amounted to $540.2 million from January through October 2020.
Azerbaijan invested $181.7 million in the Ukrainian economy during the first nine months of 2021.
The biggest volume of investments was made in wholesale and retail trade, repair of vehicles - $142.6 million (81.7 percent of the total volume of Azerbaijani investments).
