Azerbaijan unveils investments in fixed assets in Jan. 2022

The investments in fixed assets amounted to 658.1 million manat ($387.1 million) in Azerbaijan in January 2022, which is by 11.1 percent (73.05 million manat $42.9 million) less than in January 2021, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

Moreover, the investments in the oil and gas and non-oil sectors decreased by 9.8 percent and 12.7 percent, respectively, compared to January 2021.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 72.2 percent of investments in fixed assets or 474.9 million manat ($279.3 million) accounted for the production sector, 125 million manat $73 million (19 percent) - for the service sector, 58.2 million manat $34.2 million (8.8 percent) - for construction of residential buildings, 362.2 million manat ($213.05 million) or 55 percent of the funds allocated to the fixed capital accounted for the internal funds.

Some 399.8 million manat ($235.2 million) or 60.7 percent of the funds allocated to the fixed capital, were spent on construction and installation work during the reporting period.

The funds of enterprises and organizations in the total amount of funds directed to the fixed assets amounted to 547 million manat ($321 million), budgetary funds - 23.1 million manat ($13.6 million), other funds - 24.7 million manat ($14.5 million), personal funds of the population - 63.3 million manat ($37.2 million).
