BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. Turkish PGPara Payment Services company plans to enter the Azerbaijani market, CEO of PGPara Muhammed Dirgam Shemso told Trend.

According to Shemso, the company is mainly focused on money transfers and e-commerce services.

"To date, we’ve established cooperation with more than 60 countries and provide over 4,000 financial services. We also provide services in the field of e-commerce," Shemso said. "In cooperation with our Azerbaijani colleagues, we plan to create opportunities for the purchase of Turkish goods through the use of our payment system."

The CEO also said that PGPara plans to establish cooperation with most of the banks in Azerbaijan.

"We are preparing an appropriate strategy for the operation of our payment system in the Azerbaijani market. The main priority here is to provide services at the lowest cost," he noted.

Moreover, according to him, a meeting was held with representatives of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (the regulator) to discuss the issue of entering the Azerbaijani market.

"We held a meeting with representatives of the regulator because we’ll provide services on the basis of local banks. It’s expected that an agreement between all parties will be reached in the upcoming two-three months," Shemso explained.

The CEO added that PGPara plans to open its representative office in Azerbaijan.
