BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Azerbaijan's trade turnover with European countries exceeded $15.5 billion, and its share in the total Azerbaijani foreign trade turnover amounted to 51.04 percent from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan's trade turnover with European countries decreased by 0.48 percent ($74.5 million) from January through July 2023 year-on-year.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover increased by 0.91 percent ($274.5 million), from $30.1 billion to $30.3 billion, from January through July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, out of the total foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $20.8 billion, which is $1.8 billion (7.92 percent) less than the same period last year. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover totaled 68.5 percent, compared to 75.07 percent a year earlier.
In addition, Azerbaijan's imports in the reporting period increased by $2.1 billion (27.52 percent), from $7.5 billion to about $9.6 billion. The share of imports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 31.5 percent, compared to 24.93 percent a year earlier.
As a result, in the reporting period, the balance of foreign trade turnover, remaining positive, decreased by more than $3.9 billion (25.55 percent) on an annual basis, to $11.2 billion against $15.1 billion in the reporting period of 2022.
