Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has presented new projects that will be implemented in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi soon, Trend reports citing Georgian media.
The projects include reconstruction of Mziuri park, renovation of Baratashvili street and of Ketevan Tsamebuli avenue.
Kaladze said that the reconstruction of Mziuri park is nearing completion. During the second stage, a pedestrian bridge will be built which will connect Mziuri park to the nearby zoo.
Meanwhile, Tbilisi City Hall will start renovating Baratashvili street that connects Baratashvili bridge to Orbeliani square. Both Baratashvili bridge and Orbeliani square have recently been renovated.
The mayor added that within the street renovation, new asphalt cover will be laid, pavements as will electricity transmission lines, poles and underground communications will be repaired.
About 13 million lari ($4.07 million) will be spent on renovating 2-km long Ketevan Tsamebuli avenue that starts from the Avlabari Metro station and ends at Lekh Kachinski street. The avenue will also receive a new asphalt cover, sidewalks, electricity poles and underground communication lines will be repaired.
Kaladze noted that the renovation of Chavchavadze avenue in Vake district as well as Vekua and Khizanishvili streets in Gldani district of Tbilisi is nearing completion.
