In January-May, the Kiev-Baku-Kiev flight conveyed 14,700 passengers compared to 9,400 passengers in the same period of 2008, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk said at a news conference on June 24.
The Kiev-Baku-Kiev flight is carried out by the AeroSvit company. The flights are loaded by 85 percent, which is by 20 percent more than the flights to Europe. Flights in this area are carried jointly by AeroSvit and CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
Flights are carried out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays via airplane of Boing-767.
In 2008, the Kiev-Baku-Kiev route conveyed 31,800 passengers.
It is currently being examined to open the Lvov-Baku- Lvov flight to visit the Truskavets resort area which is famous with its variety of mineral waters.
