Kyrgyzstan adopts strategic decision on accession to Customs Union - Almazbek Atambayev

"Kyrgyzstan has already adopted a strategic decision on accession to the Customs Union," Prime-Minister Almazbek Atambayev said at today's meeting with members of leading news agencies of the country, "24-kg" reported.

"We still have to enter into the union and single economic space, he said. They say that accession into the CU has many minuses. But if we do not join, we will face more problems. Kyrgyzstan does not have alternatives to the Customs Union. We should first work with the neighbors."

Nevertheless, the head of government believes, Kyrgyzstan should join the Customs Union step by step. "This should be done thoughtfully so as not to bring harm to our country, he explained. If Russia and Kazakhstan enter the World Trade Organization (WTO), many problems will be removed."
