The European Investment Bank (EIB) has allocated a grant worth 4 million euros for the Joint Water Company of the Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry.
A memorandum was undersigned by General Director Irakli Kvashilava, and Water & Wastewater Division Martin Schriever.
According to the memorandum, this amount will be used to prepare a detailed engineering design for water supply for seven urban centers. Special equipment will also be purchased to test water systems in 11 urban centers to avoid water loss.
The Georgian company will hire foreign experts and send its employees to study abroad.
