Increase in wages of employees of budgetary institutions in Azerbaijan in 2011 will affect more than 600,000 people, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told reporters on Thursday.
"In accordance with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the salaries of persons working in the budgetary organizations will be increased in the country," the minister said.
He said this process is gradually being implemented. The salaries of workers the National Academy of Sciences, the military people have already been increased. Work this direction will continue, he said.
"Only in the public sector, we can talk about increase of salaries of more than 600,000 people," - said the minister.
