The Taxes Ministry of Azerbaijan plans to introduce a service of on-line-registration of legal entities in 2012, Deputy Taxes Minister Natig Amirov said to a press briefing.
"Electronic registration of legal persons is a more complicated process than the registration of physical entities, and this type of registration includes mainly foreign legal entities. The most important condition for its implementation is the availability of the electronic signature. After making the appropriate changes to the laws of the country, we are going to start the on-line registration of legal entities in 2012," said Amirov.
He said the ministry has already begun preparing the necessary software to implement this type of registration. From July 1 of this year, the Taxes Ministry began on-line-registration of physical entities engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
For the first seven days of the introduction of on-line registration of physical entities on the Ministry's website, about 75 physical entities have received taxpayer identification number. The introduction of on-line registration of physical entities will reduce the waste of time to check from two days to 2-3 minutes. The system of registration of business through "single window" has been implemented since 2008 and is conducted by the Taxes Ministry.
