The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has determined a winner of the contest to design the commemorative gold coin on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the State Independence of Azerbaijan, the bank reported today.
The Bank will issue the coins upon the Presidential Order "On twenties anniversary of independence of the Azerbaijan Republic".
The Bank earlier announced the contest in the country to design the commemorative coin. The company "OZZO" (a joint project of Orkhan Gurbanov and Zeynab Hasanli) and Elshan Valijanov won the contest.
"The designs drafted by these winners differed from the others with the ideas and were similar to what should be a commemorative coin. It was decided to give an honourable mention prize worth 500 manat to each winner," the report reads.
The award ceremony will be held by the jury at the Central Bank.
