Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover increased by 20.9 percent in January-June 2011 compared to the same period of last year and amounted to $12.054 billion, including exports grew by 18.7 percent and amounted to $7.229 billion, import - 24.3 percent - to $4.823 billion, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.
Foreign trade surplus in the half-year amounted to $ 2.4 billion.
According to official statistics, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover last year rose by three percent compared to 2009 and amounted to $21.842 billion, including exports grew by 10.8 percent and amounted to $13.44 billion and imports declined by 6.8 percent and hit over $8.797 billion.
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover surplus increased by 1.8 times and amounted to more than $4.246 billion by late 2010.
