Number of appeals to Azerbaijani Central Credit Registry increases by 2.23 times

The Central Credit Registry under the Azerbaijani Central Bank received 46,598 requests from 41 banks in the country in May 2011, the CBA official website reported.

The Central Credit Registry under the Azerbaijani Central Bank received 46,598 requests from 41 banks in the country in May 2011, the CBA official website reported.
Compared to the same period of 2010, when such requests hit 20,940, the number of appeals to the service increased by 2.23 times.
In May this year, 100 people applied to the service to obtain their own credit reporting.
As of late May, the number of borrowers that are available in the registry hit 1.065.062, while the total number of credit information is 2.106.244. The registry collected data on 500,695 sureties.
The Central Credit Registry Service (CCR) was established in March 2005. A query to the registry on an individual fee for a physical entity is 1.1 manat and for a legal entity -2 manat. The credit register is not pursuing commercial objectives and tariffs imposed to cover administrative costs.
The official exchange rate is 0.7865 manat to $1 on July 25.
