As of January-May 2012, Georgia's foreign trade turnover amounted to 4.059 billion lari, or 19 per cent more compared to the same period of last year, the Georgian National Statistics Service said today.
According to the information, exports amounted to $961 million (an increase of 12 per cent) and imports - $3.097 billion (an increase of 21 per cent).
The negative trade balance in January-May 2012 amounted to $2.136 billion or 53 percent of foreign trade turnover.
