The Vice Premier of Kazakhstan Kayrat Kelimbeyov offered to give control over chemical fields and facilities to foreign companies.

"Companies should be chosen, and in concrete terms, they should be secured. The projects are multibillion dollar projects and I believe that investors should put responsibility on themselves. Major global technology leaders on the one hand hold technologies and on the other hand, they are the market makers and know how these markets will develop. I believe that we should maybe boldly give the control packages, fields and facilities. If we do so, we will only win," Kelimbetov said during the meeting of the government of Kazakhstan on the issues of chemical industry.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev offered during the meeting to hold the managers of the national companies personally liable for the realization of the projects in chemical industry.

"The development of free economic zones requires close attention. Here a decision on the creation of the board of directors should be made, which will include the vice-minsters of the leading ministries, and the national and private companies should create a core of management on the basis of state-private partnership," he said.

In particular, it was offered to hold the Samruk-Kazin Fund liable for the development of the Taraz Chemical Park, and the management of the KazEnergy JSC should be hold liable for the development of free economic zone Atirau.

"The responsibility for the free economic zone in Pavlodar should be fixed, and timely financing should be provided," Iskeshev said.
