China has surpassed Iran in caviar production volume, Arsalan Ghasemi managing director of Iran's fisheries union said, Fars news agency reported.
Iran`s total production volume of caviar from the Caspian Sea was some 300 tons per year which has decreased during last 12 years and reached only 3 tons in last solar year (ended on March 21), he added.
Ghasemi said that, Iran has produced just 60 kilograms of cultivated caviar during last year, meanwhile China produces some 10 tons of cultivated caviar.
He criticized Iran's Central Bank for neglecting its obligations on paying supportive credits for producers, adding that, Iran's Central Bank has implemented its obligations just by 10 percent.
He also criticized bad implementing of the subsidies reform plan which affects producers.
According to the plan, 20 percent of the incomes earned from implementation should be allocated to production sector, while the sector has shared just 3 percent of it.
Ghasemi argued that, this has had negative effect on production sector due to liquidity lack.
